The museum is supported by a sponsor’s association founded in 1992. Initially, its main priority was the upkeep of the museum. Since the consolidation of the facility, it now advertises for supporters / sponsors
and assists the museum in the following activities:
The development and preparation of historical eras including the interrogation of contemporaries
Support for the preparation of special exhibitions and publications
Special guided tours and hospitality
Collection of historically valuable exhibits and archival objects
Gathering of donations for the August Horch Museum in Zwickau
 
Canvassing of sponsors for three major projects
Financing of the purchase of a Horch 951 Sedan Convertible of 1940
Reproduction of an Auto Union Typ C supercharged racing car (this supreme achievement of the automotive industry is to receive the recognition it deserves in the context of the exhibition in the form of a perfect reproduction of the original)
Restoration of the Audi Typ B of 1911/1912
 



In order to realize the implementation of these ambitious projects in the near future, the Horch Museum relies on donations. Donations are kindly requested by the August Horch Museum or its sponsor’s association under the reference »Horch 951«, »Auto Union Typ C« or »Audi Typ B«, receipts for the donation may be issued.
